The Art of Low power Radio Communication


QRP for short I think it would be correct to call QRP an art it’s certainly not for everyone if you have seen some one at a amateur radio rally wear a tea shirt with “life’s too short for qrp” it might be a fair comment to say that you have just seen a member of the amateur radio community that does not enjoy QRP or who believes that there is very little benefit from honing their operating skills so as to be able to achieve  Long distance Radio communication with 5 watts of power CW or 10 watts of power SSB.  Of course you are not limited to this power level if you desire to turn the power down some more then of course you are free to do so however if you turn the power up above these levels then you are no longer running QRP.
