When is the second coming of Christ or has it already taken place?
What will happen to The Church after the Rapture?
What happens on the earth after the Rapture?
The Study of events that will take place on the earth regarding the future of mankind, The Church, The Tribulation, rapture, end time, broadly fall under the heading of bible prophecy to some people the book of Daniel and Revelation are a no go area. But this should not be the case most budding bible students just love to turn to these two books. I have heard the study of bible prophecy referred to as strong meat.
Introduction:
The following is a study into the Bible Doctrine of The Second coming of The Lord Jesus Christ. To some extent most people have come into contact with this subject through the popular media with similar head lines of
The Rapture
The Second coming of Christ
The Mark of the Beast
The Anti-Christ
The end Time
Armageddon
The man of Sin
In this study we shall explore this subject in some depth. At this stage it would be advantageous if the Bible student has a working knowledge of the Book of Daniel and the book of revelation.
As is my normal practice before going into some in depth bible study it will be wise at this stage to lay some foundation work by way of an over view for many students this will just be old hat and more than likely just plain old boring I also felt this way over 30 years ago. At that time it was very popular in our fellowship among the young to show off a little regarding their knowledge of the seconding coming. Some would like to give the impression that after reading that days newspaper headlines they could more or less pin point the prophecy of these head lines in the Word of God. Sign are for strangers were more often than not their cry.
Is Jesus Christ really coming back to the earth again?
Yes The Bible declares there will be certain signs that will precede His coming read John 14:2-4. And Acts 1:1

Yes read: Matt 24:3-14, 32-51 Mark 13:3-13, Luke 21:7-16.
Men's hearts failing them for fear Luke 21:26.
Famines and Earthquakes matt 24:7.

Peace They say peace and safety sudden destruction cometh I Thess 5:2-3.
Lovers of pleasure having a form of Godliness. I tim 3:4-5
Wars and rumours of wars Mark 13:7
Disobedient to parents unthankful, proud unholy, II Tim 3:1-3
Eating, drinking, Marrying, giving in marriage. Matt 24:37-39
When we see the above signs being full filled what happens next.?
The Bible warns the church to be ready and waiting for the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Why is Jesus Christ coming back again to the earth?
To call his church home This event is often called The Rapture or seconding coming on that day The Lord Jesus Christ will appear in the clouds with the sound of a trumpet and the voice of an angle the dead in Christ will be resurrected and leave the grave then those people who are alive and are the body of Christ his church will change in the twinkling of an eye and they will rise up to meet the Lord in the clouds.

What happens to those people who have died and are not called up into the cloud?
The Bible says the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished Rev 20:5
After the living and resurrected saints are caught up into the cloud to be with The Lord Jesus Christ what happens to them next?
Those people who took part in the rapture and went up in the cloud to be with the lord will stand before the judgment seat of Christ I Cor 3:13-15 after this they will be invited to the marriage supper of the lamb Rev 19:7-10.
What happens to those people who remain on the earth?
This will be the time when the those who are still living on the earth will witness the manifestation and reign of the anti- Christ Rev 12:13:4-18 and Rev 14:9-11.
Does the Bible go into any detail regarding the reign of the anti-christ?
Yes the bible does explain to some extent what it will be like during this time but not in the way of a
His coming is after the working of Satan with all power and deceivableness II Thess 2:9
Rich and poor will be forced to take the mark of the beast to buy and sell Rev 13:16-17.
Those who worship the beast will be tormented with fire and brimstone Rev 14:10
Because they received not a love of the truth men will be deceived. II Thes 2:3-12
Some once said to me that there are three judgements that will take place during the tribulation
Yes the are three judgements and they are called:
1 Seals Rev 6:1-19
2 Trumpets Rev 8
3 Vials Rev 16.
What are the vials of wrath?
There are five vials of wrath
1 The Sun will be given power scorch men.
2 There will be lighting and great earthquakes.
3 Rivers and Oceans turn to blood.
4 Grievous sores.
5 kingdom of the beast turns to darkness.
Life during the reign of the anti-christ will be very unpleasant. Does his reign come to an end?
Yes the anti-Christ will reign for seven years at or near the end of his reign will be the battle of Armageddon. Rev 16:13-16. Rev 17:12-14. The Lord will return to the earth with his army Matt 24:30. Rev 19:11-16 Jude 14-15.
At the judgement of the living nations. Matt 25:31-34. The anti-christ and the false prophet will receiving there punishment II Thes 2:8 Rev 19:20 At this time Satan will be bound for a 1,000 years.
After this event does it mean that the world has come to an end or will it continue under a different ruler?
If have know reached the period of time where The Lord Jesus Christ will reign for a 1,000 years on the earth. Some times this period is called. The millennial reign of Christ see Is 2:4 Rev 20:6 Zec 14:18 Rev 1:5-6, 11:15.
What will life be like during this time?
During this period of time some of the Old Testament prophecies will be filled for example. The wolf shall dwell with The lamb- nothing shall hurt or destroy IS 11:6-9.
The Child shall die being one hundred years old IS 65:20.
The earth shall bring forth abundantly IS 35:1-2, IS 65:22-23. Zech 8:12
Christians will judge the world I COR 6:2 Rev 3:21, 5:9-10.
Satan was bound for 1,000 years what happens when this time is complete?
When Satan is loosed he deceives the nations once more and leads a rebellion against GOD. He assembles a tremendous army and surrounds
At the end of chapter 20 is the White Throne Judgment?
Yes that's right those who did not take part in the first judgement will not stand before this judgement there will be no escape three books will be opened
1 The Word of GOD
2 The book of remembrance
3 The book of Life.
There are two things considered at this judgement
1) Works: every one will be judged according to there works.
2) Book of Life: If a person?s name is not found in the book of life they are thrown into the lake of fire.
This is very interesting what happens to the people whose names were found in the book of life?
They will continue spend the rest of eternity in the presence of The Lord Jesus Christ Rev 21.
There is still much to learn and at a latter date I will return to this bible study and take the bible student a little deeper into this area of The Word of GOD.
